As chief prosecutor for the Fourteenth District of Oklahoma, District Attorney Tim Harris and his staff of prosecutors literally serve as the people's attorneys. Elected by Tulsa County voters in 1998, Harris and his assistants are responsible for reviewing police and law enforcement investigations to determine whether the facts and the law warrant filing an information (or charge) to initiate a criminal prosecution against a named person.<br />

There are 50 attorneys and a total staff of 105 public servants working under the District Attorney’s direction. They prosecute criminals, work on behalf of victims, collect more than $1 million in bogus check restitution for small businesses in Tulsa County, advocate for deprived and neglected children, and promote crime prevention and intervention. The District Attorney also represents Tulsa County and its Officials and Boards in all civil legal matters. These are a few of the many jobs Harris and his staff perform as ministers of justice.<br />
