District Attorney Rick Esser has served as district attorney for the 11th Judicial District since January 1995. In that 15-year period, Esser indicated he has handled hundreds of jury trials, thousands of criminal defendants and worked with dozens of law enforcement agencies including the F. B. I., the A. T. F., the D. E. A., the O. S. B. I., all in Oklahoma, as well as, law enforcement agencies from surrounding states. Esser has also been assigned by the Attorney General of Oklahoma to prosecute cases in other counties including Cherokee, Craig, Delaware, Noble, Osage, Ottawa, Pawnee, Rogers and Tulsa counties. <br />
