District Attorney Mark Gibson is a 1979 graduate of Po-Hi, and the University of Oklahoma College of Business with a B.B.A. in Finance. In 1984 he started law school at OU for the sole purpose of becoming a career prosecutor, which he has been blessed to be since beginning as an Intern with the Cleveland County DA's Office in 1986. After interning for 6 months in Kay County after graduation, He worked as an ADA in Grady County for 2 1/2 years before returning to the 8th District in 1990. He served as an Assistant DA, primarily in Noble County, from then until being appointed DA in 1999 by Governor Frank Keating. In 2002, he was elected to him first full term, by a margin of nearly 2 to1, and was unopposed in 2006. His passion is spending every day fighting to protect and defend the interests of the innocent and law-abiding people in our community by aggressively prosecuting the criminals who threaten their peace and safety.<br />
